Oh, it’s a Bear

M and J wanted a geometric bear mural for their newly renovated garage.

I began the sketch using a bear’s annatomy to guide the shape design. I projected the design onto their garage late one night. From there, I meticulously taped 58 triangles and filled each with a corresponding colour from our palette.

Upon finishing, a curious neighbour rolled through the alley and asked what I was painting. I invited her to take a few steps back and squint her eyes.

‘Oh, it’s a Bear!’, she exclaimed.
