The Splash

C wanted to capture a candid moment of her daughters taking a bath in a hotel sink.

C’s partner was colour blind to reds and browns, but could see blue tones well, so I began by designing a high contrast, monochromatic composition in Procreate. I then transferred the design by hand onto a 30×40” paper canvas over a period of 3 months.

The final drawing was a larger-than-life depiction of her loved ones, enjoying the splash of a moment in time.
